October 15th is Global Peer Support Day Celebration!

We hope you’ll join us for a very special afternoon at the Mental Health Association in Tompkins County as we celebrate Global Peer Support Day on Thursday, October 15, 2026!

Global Peer Support Celebration Day is an annual worldwide event held to honor peer support advocates and their work. As a peer-led and peer-run organization serving Tompkins County for over 73 years, MHA believes in the connection, hope, and healing that comes from sharing our stories and supporting one another. 

We’re opening our doors at 511 West Seneca Street in Ithaca and inviting our community in! Come meet our Peer Advocates, learn more about MHA’s programs and services, tour our space, and spend time with friends and community partners. We’ll have lunch, cake, and ice cream for everyone to enjoy!

Join us anytime from 12:00–3:00 PM, with special remarks from Mayor Robert Cantelmo at 12:30 PM.
